AAPISTRONG Proudly Unstoppable Fund
The National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (National ACE) is committed to elevating and celebrating AAPI-owned small businesses. National ACE is proud to partner with UPS to invest in keeping AAPI-Owned small businesses moving forward. COVID-19 has impacted small businesses across the U.S., particularly the minority small business community.

Eligibility Requirements
The business must be Asian American/Pacific Islander/Native Hawaiian (AAPI) majority-owned (51% or more AAPI-owned).
The business must be based in the United States.
The business must currently be in operation.
The business operates in a maximum of three locations.
The business is not part of a chain or franchise.
Business owner(s) must be willing to be interviewed for earned-media opportunities related to this grant.
This grant opportunity is only open to for-profit businesses.

Who is eligible to apply?
Business owners whose businesses are at least 51% AAPI owned, based in the United States, currently in operation, operate in a maximum of three locations, are not part of a franchise, and willing to be interviewed for earned-media opportunities related to this grant are eligible.

Each winner will receive $5,000.

When will I be notified about the status of our application?
We will notify all applicants about the status of their submission the week of April 18 via the email provided in your application. Be sure to check your email regularly, including your junk folders. Email updates to all applicants will come from Submittable.

What are my obligations as a grantee?
If you are chosen as a grant recipient, please be prepared to share your testimony on how the funding helped your business.
How are winners selected?
An impartial review team will score all applications on the same rubric. Based on these scores, twenty seven (27) winners will be chosen.
Will you provide feedback on applications that are not selected for funding?
Due to the high volume of grant proposals we receive, we may not be able to respond to individual requests for updates. However, you can check at any time on the status of your application via Submittable.
If I applied for the AAPISTRONG Restaurant Fund, can I apply for the AAPISTRONG Proudly Unstoppable Fund too?
Yes! This opportunity is open to all AAPI-owned businesses, including restaurants.
Do grant funds need to be repaid?
No, grant funds do not need to be repaid. However, all taxes associated with the acceptance and/or uses of cash awarded are the sole responsibility of the individual grantee. Cash awarded will be reported by National ACE to the IRS as National ACE deems necessary according to applicable law. It is further the policy of National ACE that all grantees be advised to consult with their own tax professionals and/or legal counsel to ascertain the tax impact of the cash awards.
